When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

How to Take Length Measurements
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the arm with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made.

Measurement Points
1. Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle above the ankle bone.

2. Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf.

3. Determine the calf length by measuring from the floor up to the bend of the knee. This measurement is taken on the outside of the calf.

Before I purchased the Sigvaris Transition Liner, I had to use a toeless liner and then put on sock. Now all I need to do is put on this liner which acts like a sock and liner together, but with compression on the sock area. A very well made, extremely useful, product for those who may need it.
